38.  Giving oneself a kick up the backside
Ways of being told off - for the purpose of staying objective. Requires a reasonably good sense of self esteem (or, better yet, self actualisation - see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self_actualisation) to avoid becoming unduly negative when used.

This post's photo is from a work trip to Mallacoota (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mallacoota) in about 2006. I liked the whimsical idea of the pelican possibly being a bit self reflective as a tie-in to this post.

31.  Emotions and spellcraft
This post is about getting and using feedback to improve your skills. If a golfer hits a ball and goes the wrong way, next time she (or he) will make some changes to try and get it to go the right way. Why not apply that principle to your spiritual/psychic/personal growth/magical work?

30.  Families, funerals and Bev Brock
This post is - in part - a personal working through grief at the death of my (adoptive) mother. It also touches on rescue (guiding the souls of the dead), funerals, and also covers the spiritual problem of discrimination (which I encountered whilst travelling back from my mother's funeral, and, given my emotional state, grated far worse than it usually does [I don't fit into conventional boxes]). The reference to Bev Brock is a lead in to the concept of polyamory.

26.  Judging others
This post pushes the edges around the notion of being tolerant, starting from the point of view that I consider myself judgmental, but on a spiritual basis. Be warned! This post includes some harsh judgements about people who judge LGBTI people (LGBTI = lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex; if you haven't come across the last two terms previously, see http://www.transgendervictoria.com/?p=p_2&sName=definitions, http://home.vicnet.net.au/~aissg/ and http://sixtyminutes.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=297615).
