Post No. 1,734 - Magickal Battle of the World - Weekly Meditation - Week No. 34 - Imbalance

Black Lives Matter!

Stay safe - wash your hands, practice social distancing and wear a face mask in public, and follow informed medical advice - and be considerate towards those at risk or in situations of vulnerability (including economic) while the COVID-19 pandemic is a problem.

I have been writing about improving the world through a range of means on my blogs: this blog has been focused on spiritual and psychic means, including strengthening  BPM  units and clearing nonBPM units, and meditation to generate BPM energy (and units, if you know enough).

This has been done before - particularly during times of crisis.

The climate crisis has been our World War III for some time (with the denialists being, at the very least, the WW3 equivalents of Quisling, Vichy France, etc), and we now have the COVID-19  pandemic, caused by the zoonotic  SARS-CoV-2  novel coronavirus (there are other novel coronaviruses), on top of that.

World War II was probably the biggest global crisis before our current dual crises, and during those terrible events, there were a number of people undertaking magickal work, including  the work by Dion Fortune (there were others) outlined in the Gareth Knight edited book "The Magical Battle of Britain" (my copy pub. Skylight Press, 2012, ISBN 978-1-908011-45-9), which I reviewed here. Ms Fortune directed her team through a series of 136 weekly and (I think) 19 monthly meditations (I originally intended to publish a list at some stage, but it’s so long and comprehensive that I’m concerned about breaching copyright, so I may either see if I can find an online list, or publish something listing the broad themes only). At the end of this, she was exhausted, and that work is considered to have contributed to her death, but a change for the better had been accomplished.

We already have a lot of people doing a lot of work on making the world a better place (including before the current crises - and I’ve found this group working at following [and adapting] Ms Fortune’s techniques and purposes), but I would like to extend my contribution to also include a series of weekly - or near weekly - meditations along the line of those directed by Ms Fortune.

I am proposing this be added to the Sunday meditations which are part of my regular psychic work. For convenience, an outline of the meditation is provided at the end of this post.

The notes on each week’s meditation will probably be brief to the point of being terse.

This Week: No. 34 - Imbalance

So having talked about the extremes at the end of one scale, and how balance is better than imbalance, let’s look a little more broadly at the topic of balance.

There have been times in this life when I have been, for example, subjected to gradually increasing stresses and demands on my time and it has led me to slowly defer meditation or breathing exercises, and, after a few months, I feel thoroughly out of sorts and angry with myself, life, and “not myself”.

I feel out of balance emotionally, mentally, and spiritually - less able to cope with life, not being the person I wish to be, living my life focused on others’ demands rather than a balance between catering for my aspirations and acceding to the demands of everyday life so I can pay the rent and put food on the table (the latter has often come to dominate everything else, making me subservient to others’ profit / greed).

For me, the solution is to take time out of everyday life, and refocus on my spiritual practices - ideally, I like to take a week’s leave every three months, but I rarely have the time accumulated for that.

Taking this point a little further, there was a time in the past when people who were having mental health problems were described as “unbalanced”. Without bothering to look it up, I suspect that goes to the Ancient Greek ideas of how the elements in a person (termed “humourism”) need to be balanced - too much of one element would cause problems, for example, too much “black bile” (what we term “earth”, typically) would make people melancholic.

Modern psychological and medical practice is more accurate, precise and effective, and has no particular reliance on Aristotelian theories (although his political thinking is still taught, and he was the first to perform objective studies in some areas) that I know of, but I find classification based on elements can be useful at times - think of it as, say, a simpler alternative to Myers-Brigg. More importantly, I find a combination of classical Western Mystery Tradition element theory with the Chinese ideas of generating and controlling (that I was taught in Touch for Health many decades ago) very effective, and is the basis of a key part of my weekly psychic work.

Again, it boils down to too much/too little of a particular type of element can be harmful, and thus balance is good.

This also moves us in to the topic of toxic positivity - there’s a useful definition of that at https://themighty.com/2019/02/toxic-positivity-support/?PageSpeed=noscript.

In terms of my psychic / spiritual work more broadly, I sum a lot of this up in my definition of BPM, which is an acronym for Balanced Positive-Spiritually Mature. From my definition at the linked site:

In Stuart Holroyd‘s magnificent book "Briefing for the Landing on Planet Earth", he describes contact with a group known as “The Nine” (who crop up in a few other places as well). They have some interesting views on a range of matters, one of which is that we should be aiming to be “balanced positive” – i.e., not negative, but not “holier than thou” extremist (fanatical?) versions of spirituality.

My personal ‘code word’ that I was taught (at ASPECTS[1]) to use for all those people who seek to have, or to help others to have, ‘balanced positive spirituality’, is ‘Divine Light Force’, abbreviated to DLF. It covers all references to ‘White (i.e., positive energy’) Brotherhoods/Sisterhoods’ and hierarchies of all sorts.

To some extent, this is predicated on the association between ‘higher frequency’, or more evolved, energies and a perception of brightness, but it also is based on the concept of Deity, as in ‘the Divine’.

I now use (one of) the phrase(s) ‘Balanced Positive’, ‘Balanced Positive Light Forces’, ‘Balanced Positive Light Force’, or  ‘Balanced Positive Light’ which is based on the teaching in Holroyd’s book, rather than DLF – and the appropriate acronym (i.e., BPF, BPLF, or BPL, typically).

For the opposite of Balanced Positive, I use non-BPF or non-BPLF (or non-BPL), whereas I used to use non-DLF.

Subsequent to writing the above definition, I have started developing this into a philosophical approach to living, which I am terming ‘Balanced Positivity’.

As of the time this definition was written, I’ve touched on this idea in posts here, here, here and here. I’ve speculated here about the history of Balanced Positivity, that it goes back to the Pagan philosophers Plato and Aristotle. For other links that are relevant to this topic, see the "Balanced Positivity, Spiritual Maturity, Peace and Personal Conduct" sub-section of the "Key posts: a (slightly!) shorter listing ... " section of my Blogiography

This is an important concept to “get your head around”: most of what people mis-describe as “evil” is actually “just” a state of imbalance - heal, in the sense of re-balance, the people causing the harm, and you may well provide the necessary short term fix for the problem. (The medium term “fix” is healing and restorative justice for the victims, and the long term “fix” is ensuring the harm-doers will not become unbalanced again down the track.)

There IS true evil the world - no doubt about it: but the overwhelmingly majority of situations ascribed to evil are, in my experience, one party or the other (the problem could be the accuser’s, not the accused) being unbalanced, or personal flaws such as jealousy, resentment, etc.

But for now, meditate on the concept of balance as I have just described it - and especially the acronym BPM - and remember the spiritually mature part of that acronym.

The sigil for this week is balance, but based on the Taijitu - more commonly referred to in Western nations as “the yin-yang” symbol.

If I get it done in time, an audio version of the post can be found embedded below.

The Meditation (see here, here, and here) consists of:

 - appropriate and responsible protection (see here, here, here), prayer and ritual (e.g., here) to establish and check protection (re-do the protection, or re-schedule the meditation, if you don’t feel safe and secure);

 - establish a personal connection to your Higher BPM influences;

 - visualise the sigil (see above) for this work. Think of what this work means for you as you do so, then, when you feel you have fully tuned in to the meaning of the sigil, see it as a portal or doorway (you could open it like a door [close it behind you], simply pass through it, visualise yourself shrinking and passing through the centre, or whatever else works best for you), and travel through to to a place created by the visualisation of yourself and others for this work. That place should have:
     (a) a visualisation of the workplace you personally prefer - something you can change, if you wish, as you yourself change;   and
     (b) a shared visualisation of a device to astrally share our knowledge, something developed in a previous project (still active astrally): a visualisation of a large, green, multifaceted emerald. Large: around half the size of the Moon; multifaceted - billions, for all people who wish to be part of this at any time; green - largely tied up with the previous project, but has connotations of nature and growth. One of those facets is yours - choose whatever location and shape you wish (and you may change that as you change [grow] over time), but in the interest of humility and sharing, see it at around human - or human aura - size;

 - flush one's aura with green (R0, G102, B0), blue (R0, G0, B204) and purple (R153 G0, B204);

 - fill one’s Heart Chakra (and maybe one’s Earth Star, Solar Plexus, Third Eye and Crown Chakras) with green, blue and purple; send a weave of three streams of this colour from the Chakra(s) to the visualised gigantic, multi-faceted emerald through your facet until you see your energy enlivening other areas of the emerald and can feel similar energies flowing back to you;

 - visualise the rune / bindrune (if given - or, on Sunday, the group of symbols provided);

 - generate  feelings of love, peace, joy and respect;

 - strengthen those feelings (energies);

 - radiate those energies to the world for nine to eighteen minutes;

 - then, on Sunday, also perform the additional meditation work for around 15 minutes or so: contemplate the topic, and the spiritual (i.e., nonphysical) implications of it, and seek insights and understanding. Do not be distracted by thoughts of physical actions - those are necessary also, but this exercise is about the nonphysical, in the broadest possible sense, and the focus should be on nonphysical actions, energy flows, symbols, and the like, all with the intention of bringing about a change for the better. As a second stage, if you wish, you can meditate on any physical actions which may be necessary, but get the spiritually focused work done first;

 - when you have finished your work:
     (i) send the thought of any knowledge you wish to store or share through your portal into the group visualised emerald;
     (ii) return back through the sigil; and
     (iii) close your chakras, centre and ground yourself and close your aura, use the banishing version of the LBRP to open circle, ground and release all excess energy; and make sure you are grounded and closed down – eat, if you need to, or seek help from someone capable and trusted.
