Post No. 3,206 - Reflections on the past week, and some interesting reading/viewing [Content Warning - oppression/bigotry/hate/violence/abuse/war. Reader discretion is advised]

 Matters for reflection :

 Some llinks that might be of interest or value:

  • a new take on the “everything is energy” principle (which I said as a primary school child);
  • a US-based organisation’s global survey shows neochristianity is in decline (47% here in Australia), almost ¼ have no religion, and “for minority faiths, including Wiccans, this report represents an explicit acknowledgment, especially given that many national censuses do not offer specific categories for Pagan or folk religions and spiritual traditions. In addition, many practitioners choose not to disclose their spiritual identity, and demographic data has historically under-represented these communities” - the implications of these trends are discussed in the report on the survey;
  • a human example of the dangers of cults as an enquiry into their techniques continues;
  • “Tales of UFO Encounters”   Alien UFO Podcast hosted by Simon Bown   “In Strange Light, author Edson Freeman gathers riveting firsthand accounts of lives upended by events that defy explanation — UFO encounters, near‑death experiences, psychic awakenings, startling synchronicities, and mysterious lights dancing over the Marfa desert.   Spanning North America, Australia, the UK, India, and Japan, these personal narratives include prophetic dreams that came true, conversations with departed loved ones, and face‑to‑face meetings with non‑human intelligences. Freeman lets each witness speak in their own voice: no sensationalism, no dismissal-just the raw, unfiltered moment when the boundaries of consensus reality give way.   Readers curious about consciousness studies, paranormal phenomena, and fringe science will find an empathetic yet pragmatic exploration of the questions mainstream culture struggles to ask”   https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/tales-of-ufo-encounters/id1602263087?i=1000719769026
  • Hmmm ... an interesting suggestion, although not as definitive as the presenter thinks (this could, if it works, also just be the effect of programming the unconscious):   “Unsure If Your Spirit Guides Are Real? Ask Them THIS”   https://youtu.be/piWV5YWcDIQ

For the news sections

Note: CONTENT WARNING - some of this content is about upsetting, disturbing or triggering events & attitudes. Seek competent help - including professional - if you need it. Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander readers are advised that linked articles may contains names and/or images of deceased people. READER CAUTION IS RECOMMENDED! For anyone distressed by anything in this post, or for any other reason considering seeking support, resources are available in Australia here, here, and here. In other nations, you will have to do an Internet search using terms such as mental health support - <your nation>(which, for instance, may lead to this, this, and this, in the USA, or this, this, and this, in France [biased towards English-language - my apologies]), or perhaps try https://www.befrienders.org/

Remember:   #PsychicABetterWorld   and   nonphysical health, strength and wellbeing

The purposes of this post’s news section include:

(1) to provide information, including news, which may be of interest, value, or use to Readers;

(2) to identify both BPM and nonBPM opportunities to do the work of this blog (particularly clearing nonBPM nonphysical  units,   BPM  healing,   and   BPM  strengthening of BPM units - the news items helps draw in/helps me find those people and other units in need of any of the help I can provide);   and

(3) to help engage and frame my emotional, mental, and other nonphysical (psychic, spiritual, Higher Self, BPM  Guides, etc) aspects both for doing my weekly PWR and for doing the work that flows from the PWR - which may also occur for some others.

Some of the news information will likely be distressing - hence the content warning, to allow people to choose times they have high energy and/or are in a good state to view these, or to ensure they have access to support resources if they may be triggered, or to choose to either temporarily or permanently skip viewing this post or the News sections, as is best for their health and wellbeing.

Within the news section, I generally try to identify what is considered “good” news in green, possibly also with green background, but owing to time, energy, and health limitations, may not always be able to do so. Similarly, I generally try to show editorial comments by me in this shade of blue (quotes are in this shade of blue) - and for the times I miss doing so, you should keep your thinking cap on.

 News :

Noting the excellent daily aggregation of global news links at   https://everythingbriefing.substack.com/

On the existential climate crisis and nuclear threats this week:

An account of the plastics industry’s infiltration of - and aggressive bullying at - the conference intended to lead to a global plastics treaty;      as Australia’s renewable energy scheme is substantially expanded“The attack on Australia’s net zero target is reckless and gutless. Voters expect more than ‘intergenerational bastardry’;      the seventh GenCost report finds solar is the lowest cost and nuclear the highest, but advocates for a mix of options to address cost and other issues;      allegations of greenwashing by a notorious foreign owned coal mining company in Australia;      “a true just transition will save jobs and the planet”;      the current US regime is trying to officially deny climate change science;      New Zealand has jumped back into the 1950s by re-adopting fossils;

In the global war against f_sc_sm (and “producerism”)  - which is fought wherever we are (note the advice/examples/guidance on resistance here, here, here, here, here, here, here, this [on the efficacy of nonviolent protest], this book, this book, this, and thesethis week:

“Why the UK economy depends on migrants”;      a pro-union (of the UL) group publicly called for Israel to bomb of the Scottish Parliament and made a series of racist posts;

  • “What if economics is wrong about scarcity?”   https://youtu.be/YR2FcHoQLlU   (transcript here)   “The foundation of modern economics is that resources are scarce. But what if that simply isn’t true? In this video, I explore how the assumption of scarcity drives inequality, stress, and unsustainability – and what a post-scarcity economics could look like.”   This is a vitally important point - and, frankly, one many people have known for decades: hopefully this presentation by a respected expert will help people gain traction
  • “History Tells Us How the Ukraine War Could End (it's worse than you think)”   https://youtu.be/nDqn27gl2vg   An excellent consideration of history and psychopathy, and human failings when facing psychopaths

Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding the USA and their Autocrat-in-Chief (AIC), noting this on “a slight change of activist focus”, include:

More attempted distraction as the AIC hints at a pardon for the convicted wife of a child sexual abuser;      a commentary on the disturbing series of admission by the USA’s AIC about CSA;

Criticism of the AIC’s EO against homelessness;      a warning that US Democrats who are ‘complicit’ need a ‘wake-up call’;       a staggering example of ineptness by the AIC;      politicisation of the US military;      more on the nightmarish reign of terror being instituted by ICE, who are being described by quite a few people as “the American G_s t_ p_” (there definitely needs to be a holding to account of these psychopathic goons afterwards - a Truth and Reconciliation Commission, and lots of charges and bans from coercive positions);      a warning that ending a six decades old medical scheme will kill disabled US people;      the AIC’s puppets-in-congress have appointed a conspiracy fantasist with extremist links to head the US regime’s counter-t_rr_r_sm centre;      another US department is demonstrating its decline;      the clueless and incompetent AIC has blamed other nations for the faults of the US health industry - but its not us that is the problem;      deputy sheriffs who aided ICE have been disciplined for breaking state law;      despite the AIC’s attempts to hide it, employment numbers show the downturn in the USA’s economy;      the Smithsonian has removed the AIC from its display on presidential impeachments;

The USA’s AIC’s regime has launched a medical records surveillance scheme to identify sub-humans;

  • Lies by the AIC this week include:  thisthis;
  • Acts of revenge this week include:  this;

§   On migration, border control, rendition, deportations, and associated legal matters,  this examination of and warning about atrocities committed by ICE;      an LA county is working towards forcing federal employees to be identifiable;

Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding Ukraine/Russia (et al) include:

An examination of the efficacy of the Ukrainian anti-corruption agencies which were recently targetted by the Ukrainian government - see also this ... and, after the damage to trust (and accession to the EU), the EU will freeze some funding unless the decision and others are reversed ... which has now happened. See also this warning that, while democracy won now, it will be tested again;

Ukraine is disrupting Russia’s logistics;       the human shortages affecting Ukraine’s military - and Russia’s mobilisation plans suggest a planned war against NATO, according to experts;      a massive attack on Kyiv by Russia has led to a day of mourning;

a war of words between the USA’s AIC and a former Russian president has escalated to threats of nuclear war (this always has to be taken seriously, but I want to see an expert’s assessment first - TACO has a history of backing down from bluffs, and Medvedev lacks the political position to do anything, but Putin has threatened the use of battlefield nuclear weapons, which does, IMO, need to be taken seriously);

in a genocidal call, “Russian state media article demands no Ukrainians ‘be left alive’”;      as Russia starts sending its wannabe tourists to North Korea, a reportedly “resistance to the Kremlin regime inside Russia is growing”;      a Ukrainian intelligence assessment  that  notoriously  oppressive Russian “ally” (puppet state?) Belarus will resume “use of migrants to ‘exert political pressure’ on Europe”;      “UN experts call on Russia to end trafficking and forced labour exploitation of migrant women”;      notorious dictatorship Venezuela may recognise Russia’s illegal annexations of Ukrainian territory - the first nation to do so;

On other international affairs/political news matters this week:

Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding West Asia include:

Two leading human rights organisations based in Israel, B’Tselem and Physicians for Human Rights, say Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza and the country’s western allies have a legal and moral duty to stop it”   - which has been followed up by 31 public figures in Israel calling for crippling sanctions on their nation -   and   the USA’s AIC “told Israel to allow “every ounce of food” into Gaza as he acknowledged for the first time that there is “real [Israeli caused] starvation” in the region   ...   [which] contradicted Benjamin Netanyahu” (air drops of aid - which have killed several people, and are grossly inadequate - have been described as a distraction) - and claims nothing wrong is happening in Gaza have been strongly  rejected;      meanwhile, a major US newspaper has been accused of whitewashing genocide, “again”,   the role of western nations as enablers has been described,   the UK government has been criticised by the  UN High Commissioner for Human Rights for classifying a pro-Palestine group as terrorist (a small Scottish island has shown better leadership, and a reminder of the UK’s historical brutality has been published),   and “an analysis conducted by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) found no evidence that H___s systematically stole US-funded humanitarian aid in Gaza, Reuters reported Friday. The findings challenge a justification used by Israel and the US to support a private aid initiative that bypasses the UN system amid deadly distribution chaos in Gaza”;      a whistleblower’s testimony of deliberate war crimes;

“France and Saudi Arabia will co-chair a UN conference in New York from July 28-30 to revive stalled two-state solution talks between Israel and the Palestinians”, and a number of other nations are being embarrassed, to the ire of the USA’s AIC, into supporting future recognition of Palestine (likely without essential other actions) - including Canada and the UK, which basically will reward Israel by not recognising Palestine if some aid conditions are met,  but not my nation - see also this debunking of lies being told about recognition;      the Two State solution is still (“officially”?) taboo inside Israel;

Palestinian refugees in Egypt are stuck in limbo;

a violent antisemitic attack in Italy;

in the USA, “families of Americans slain in the West Bank lose hope for justice;

  • “Peter Beinart - "Being Jewish After the Destruction of Gaza: A Reckoning" | The Daily Show”   https://youtu.be/X5kXCdzt_us

After the Myanmar junta wrote to the USA’s AIC, some sanctions were lifted, but the USA claims there was no link;      CCP suppression of coverage of fatal mass attacks is being criticised by some Chinese people;      the new Syrian state is holding discussions with the Kurdish administration in the north east about incorporation;      “New Zealand attorney general warns her government’s electoral reform could breach human rights law”;     Thailand and Cambodia agreed on a ceasefire, although there were subsequent  claims of a breach;      protests against authoritarian rule in Tunisia;      Russia wants to exploit Niger’s uranium ... which would be useful in  any future nuclear war;      Taiwan’s president has decided to tip-toe around the USA as he returns to his nation;      El Salvador has jumped into official dictatorship;      Russia and Syria will deepen their ties;      a review of how Columbia has returned to internal violence;

Sudan’s paramilitaries have announced a parallel government (which is not the first in Sudan), which is likely to deepen the humanitarian crisis (which includes 40,000 deaths, 10 million displaced people, 24 million malnourished, 12 million at risk of SA/CSA, and 3 million children at risk of epidemic diseases - and 300,000 civilians in the North Darfur city of El Fashed are facing catastrophe after a 14 month seige without aid getting in, and the destruction of water supplies) and has been criticised;      31 million people in Nigeria are facing acute food insecurity - and over 1.3 million are about to lose all aid - as the ICC is urged to formally investigate allegations against the Nigerian military;      “Ghana’s conflict on the Burkina border is raising alarm among security experts”;      clashes between Uganda and South Sudan forces have caused six deaths;

§   On the USA’s AIC’s tariff war,   criticism of the EU-US agreement - which has shown internal divisions in the EU;       AIC TACO has announced new tariffs ... but pushed the start date back - again;

On human rights matters:

Human Rights Watch has urged the newly appointed African Union envoy for the Sahel to adopt a rights-based approach to the role;      the DRC has been urged to address the human trafficking problem in the conflict affected eastern regions of the DRC;      the human rights situations in Niger has continued to decline after the coup installed a military junta;      fears a critic of the Burkinabe government who has been disappeared has been forcibly conscripted;      “Syria [has been] urged to investigate abductions of Alawite women and girls”;      from a The Guardian exclusive, my nation (Australia) has breached its duty of care (my words) by allowing asylum seekers in a foreign nation gulag to become ill with dengue fever;      UK police - unlike Australian police - have decided to be agents for a foreign government and “protect” a dissident against attempts to silence her by asking her to ... silence herself ... ;

A coroner has found another Aboriginal death in custody (in my home state) was preventable, and the NT has been urged to abandon [a] “punitive attack on the rights, dignity, and lives of children”” which “will cost millions and increase offending (IMO, this shows the flaws of a Newtonian worldview - also described as the problem of having a hammer and then seeing  everything as a nail ... but that problem has to be addressed in the hearts and minds of voters as much as elected representatives and mis-trained “professionals”);      Australia has had the first  Aboriginal Speaker in Parliament;      concern over the lack of accountability over the failure to meet the Closing the Gap targets;

a call to hold NSW police “to account – and also held to their promises” as part of a 78er’s campaign To ‘Protect Mardi Gras’;       “over 100,000 people marched for trans rights in the UK”;      the broader cultural context of why anti-LGBTQIASB+ slurs in sport are a problem;      athletic’s genetic test is an attack on ALL women;

A NSW University is trying to get more women into engineering ... WITHOUT addressing the widespread problem of sexism ... ;      millions of women around the world around the world are being denied equal citizenship;

On societal and governance matters:

The growing problem of AI deepfakes;      following an investigation that led to Australia’s big four banks paying over $33 million in refunds to more than 150,000 low-income First Peoples customers, the problem was found to be far more widespread and more than $93 million will be refunded to more than 920,000 low-income customers;      teen artists in the USA were invited to portray their lives - but were censored by adults who “didn't want to see the full picture”;      more on AI ending copyright protection;      an economist on why growth will NOT deliver better services;      from a The Guardian exclusive,the neoliberal conservatives appear to be at risk of continuing to self destruct;      more mentally rigid neoclassical incompetence from the Productivity Commission in Australia;      Brazil’s innovative and very popular Pix instant payment system;

From a spiritual perspective:   ensuring we, and the next generation, are comfortable with truth is vital

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
