Matters for reflection :

“How We Traded Anxiety for Apathy” by Joan Westenberg;
Some llinks that might be of interest or value:
- aocontactoexperienceowhich provides some credible evidence of survival after death from someone 15 years after they passed, and led to republishing and promoting their book - which covers an option that actually has been known for some time, and is indeed one of the now and historically applicable causes of contact experiences, as are the others;
- “Getting Started in Witchcraft: What do you really need?” by one of my favourite and most respected by me YouTube channels;
- conventional meditation practices do not suit everyone - and this YouTube short explains how they could be harmful;
- a pigeon showing a spectacular skill for and love of flying;
- “Pachamama Endures: From Ancient Andes to Modern Bolivia”;
- “HEALING HURTS: The hidden heartbreak of leaving your old self behind” https://youtu.be/ThWrdaps2FM “In this honest and unfiltered episode of LATE BLOOMERS, Rich and Rox share the side of healing no one talks about—the part where it feels lonely, awkward, and nothing in your old life fits anymore. Sobriety meant losing friends who only knew them as drinkers. Changing priorities meant some family relationships shifted or ended. Even work and identity had to be rebuilt from scratch. They talk about the grief of outgrowing people you thought would be in your life forever, and how clarity can make old dynamics impossible to return to. But they also share the small wins, the peace, and the self-respect that come with sticking it out. If you’re in the messy middle of getting better, this episode is a reminder that the loneliness won’t last—but the growth will.”
- “How Witches Get Downloads from The Gods (UPG Chat)” https://youtu.be/tcqDrk6kSO0 “Unsure about your unverified personal gnosis? Let me share with you my experience of spiritual downloads from the deities”
- thisoweek’s “afterlife report” by the Zammits: https://www.victorzammit.com/August15th2025/
- also from YouTube:
- an interesting description of an astronomical discovery at the current presumed limit of the Sun’s influence suggests interactions may be less clearcut than thought (note: this channel is NOT connected to the space authority named, which I consider clickbait; I'll also be looking for descriptions of this from more authoritative science communicators);

anyone distressed by anything in this post, or for any other reason considering
seeking support, resources are available in Australia here, here, and here. In other nations, you will have to do an Internet search using terms such as “mental health support - <your nation>” (which, for instance, may lead to this, this, and this, in the USA, or this, this, and this, in France [biased towards English-language - my apologies]), or perhaps try https://www.befrienders.org/.
Remember: #PsychicABetterWorld and may all that I do be of value and actively BPM used for and by the nonphysical BPM because #KindnessIsThePoint - and activelyopractice nonphysical health, strength and wellbeing
The purposes of this post’s newsosection include:
(1) to provide information, includingonews, which may be of interest, value, or use to Readers;
(2) to identify both BPM and nonBPM opportunities to do the work of this blog (particularly clearing nonBPM nonphysical units, BPM healing, and BPM strengthening of BPM units - the news items helps draw in/helps me find those people and other units in need of any of the help I can provide); and
(3) to help engage and frameomy emotional, mental, and other nonphysical (psychic, spiritual, Higher Self, BPM Guides, etc) aspects both for doing my weekly PWR and for doing the work that flows from the PWR - which may also occur for some others.
Some of the news information will likely be distressing - hence the content warning, to allow people to choose times they have high energy and/or are in a goodostate to view these, or to ensure they have access to support resources if they may be triggered, or to choose to either temporarily or permanently skip viewing this post or the “News” sections, as is best for their health and wellbeing.
Within the news section, I generally try to identify what is considered “good” news in green, possibly also with green background, but owing to time, energy, and health limitations, may not always be able to do so. Similarly, I generally try to show editorial commentsoby me in this shade of blue (quotes are in this shade of blue) - and for the times I miss doing so, you should keep your thinking cap on.

News :
Noting the excellent daily aggregation of globalonews links at https://everythingbriefing.substack.com/
On the existential climate crisis and nuclear threats this week:
“WA’s ‘longest and most intense’ marine heatwave killed coral across 1,500km stretch”; as a six year battle reveals a nuclear leak in Scotland, concerns that the UK government may reduce nuclear regulations; yet another call for Australia to become a renewables exporting superpower; an environmentally damaging industry will be allowed to continue; a key climate change report in Australia is being kept secret; over 80 nations have rejected the draft text of a proposed Global Plastics Treaty as inadequate ... how much of this was meddling by the plastics industry?; the problem of invasive species is worsening as the Mediterranean Sea warms;
In the global war against f_sc_sm (and “producerism”) - whichoisofought wherever we are (note the advice/examples/guidance on resistance here, here, here, here, here, here, here, this [on the efficacy of nonviolent protest], this book, this book, this, and these) this week:
A quick explainer on the Overton Window and an explanation of why the household analogy for government (an error I admit to having made when younger) is wrong (including household must earn before it can spend, but governments can impose taxes, households do not set the macroeconomic rules but governments do: “pretending they are the same as households ignores that critical difference in power”), and the devastating consequences of that error; a The Guardian exclusive reports “Victoria’s new anti-protest laws to be watered down amid pushback from human rights groups and unions”; the (economic) benefit of (social security) benefits; “[all or nothing] thinking takes us closer to fascism”; a critique and criticism of neoliberal economics; waging nonviolence; global concerns about press freedom; Senegal’s president has exempted himself from new anti-corruption laws;
in the UK, the government has designated a pro-Palestine group as t_rr_r_sts, but they ignore n_ z_ gestures;
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding the USA and theiroAutocrat-in-Chiefo(AIC), noting this on “a slight change of activist focus”, include:
A major US mainstream/legacy media outlet has published an opinion piece by a conservative which considers the AIC has one specific indication of dementia - which others have been pointing out and trying to get media attention on since before last year’s US presidential election, when it could have made an important difference ! ... see also this; increased resistance - including from mainstream media and business - to the AIC as his decline becomes more obvious; “Forms of Resistance and Reasons to Believe It’s Working | Explainer”;
Despite the US city of Washington DC having the lowest crime numbers in three decades, the AIC has taken control of that city’s police and deployed the national guard - likely as another desperateoattemptedodistractionofrom theoCSAofiles; the USA has become a “a global exporter of violent extremist ideology, a phenomenon mainstream media refuses to confront out of fear of offending the” current US regime; a change of reported results raises grave ethical concerns about the conduct of a vote at a US townhall; a notorious social media platform has appointed an anti-DEI and anti-LGBTQ+ conspiracy theorist as their AI bias advisor; the battle over gerrymandering is continuing; more implementation of thought control;
- Lies by theoAIC this week include: this, this, and lies about the COVID vaccine led to a fatal mass shooting;
§ On migration, border control, rendition, deportations, and associated legal matters, a criminal trial of the current US regime has commenced on the basis of alleged breaches of the USA’s Posse Comitatus Act; a regressive US state has continued to use a stopped law to charge people;
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regardingoUkraine/Russia (et al) include:
The EU will provide substantial aid to Ukraine, albeit with reductions because of delayed Ukrainian reforms; Azerbaijan will provide $2million energy aid to Ukraine; the mobilisation problem in Ukraine; free floating Russia sea mines have killed three civilians; Finland has charged the captain and two officers of a Russian 'shadow fleet' tanker over alleged Baltic Sea cable sabotage that caused tens of millions of euros in damage;
Putin will make a renewed demand for new parts of Ukraine for Russia (“land swapping”) in a likely doomed US-Russia conference in Alaska (there presumably to reduce the risk of alleged war criminal Putin being arrested - and the USA has to temporarily suspend sanctions to allow this to happen) which the EU and Ukraine have sought to have Ukraine (which has again rejected the notion of rewarding an aggressor by ceding land - the Ukrainian people are quite emphatic on this - especially as it could be used to launch a future war) included in - and Europe has stated the Ukraine must decide its own fate. There is considerable anger at the AIC inside the USA over this, with a pro-Ukraine anti-war criminal protest in Alaska, and the AIC has downgraded the meeting to to an “AIC listening to Putin” exercise ... Concerningly, NATO’s Secretary-General is trying the realpolitik path and backing Russia. TACO has ruled out Ukrainian attendance, but yet again suggested more pointless talks between Ukraine and Russia, and will talk with Europe and Ukraine before meeting Putin; a speculation the AIC may try to ILLEGALLY offer Putin Ukrainian minerals - which is unlikely to be acceptable to Ukraine - and another speculation that Putin might try something similar with the AIC; France has said the USA (which would mean AIC TACO) has indicated it would provide security guarantees for Ukraine after peace is established (does AIC TACO - or the USA - have any believable credibility on that after the last months?), but would oppose Ukrainian membership of NATO (which would suit the AIC’s buddy Putin, so that I consider credible);
An assessment that Russia is losing - clearly, and that Western media has been duped into being Russian propaganda agencies by exaggerating the numbers of Russian troops on NATO nation borders; as China reaffirms it will continue to buy Russian oil despite TACO’s “threats” of tariffs (deadline delayed again), Canada and other nations agree to adopt a lower and dynamic oil cap price (effectively a near automatically maintained sanction) on Russian oil, but the USA’s ceasefire deadline on Russia passes with no additional sanctions imposed by TACO (in fact, more the opposite) - but the US military can divert some weapons meant to go to Ukraine to US stockpiles ... ; Russia, Belarus, and a Libyan “war lord” are attempting to create a renewed migrant crisis in Europe; Russia has been testing its capacity to separate its own internet from the global Internet;
On other international affairs/political news matters this week:
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regardingoWest Asiaoinclude:
Thousands of Israelis have protested against the decision to widen (even more so than recently announced) the war in Gaza; Israel is considering ethnic cleansing Gazans to South Sudan; Israel has announced new West Bank settlements that could destroy the viability of a Palestinian state - which has led to a call for immediate recognition by the UK;
Israel has targetted and killed five more journalists, including one from Al Jazeera about whom it had made disputed claims, leading to widespread anger, and intensified its bombing, killing scores of Gazans; “MSF condemns GHF aid sites, saying they were set up to be death traps”;
“International aid agencies hold secret collaboration meeting with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” https://www.thenewhumanitarian.org/news/2025/08/08/international-aid-agencies-hold-secret-collaboration-meeting-gaza-humanitarian “The meeting flies in the face of previous public statements from top humanitarian officials describing the GHF as “unacceptable” and “disturbing”” and this led to a The New Humanitarian “EXCLUSIVE: UNRWA demands “urgent clarification” over UN meeting with the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation” https://www.thenewhumanitarian.org/news/2025/08/13/unrwa-demands-urgent-clarification-over-un-meeting-gaza-humanitarian-foundation-ghf “In a letter to the UN’s top humanitarian, the head of UNRWA warns that failing to criticise the GHF risks being seen as complicity in war crimes”
my nation (Australia) will finally recognise Palestine - which decision comes with commentary pointing out (correctly, IMO) that much more is required in addition to that ... but it is still a win for democratic action; a well written, comprehensive "explainer" regarding the supply of components for F-35s; hundreds of pro-Palestine protestors in the UK have been arrested as a leaked JTAC assessment shows there was no basis for the UK government’s claim a recently proscribed group was violent; French police will open an investigation after an Israeli rabbi, angered at France’s decision to recognise Palestine, allegedly makes threatening comments against France’s President; “Microsoft is investigating how Israel’s military surveillance agency, Unit 8200, is using its Azure cloud storage platform, amid concerns the company’s staff in Israel may have concealed key details about its work on sensitive military projects”;
Ana'esia (aka “Africa”) is advocating for the adoption of the Equal Earth projection global map, which “was created in response to the decision of the Boston public schools to adopt the Gall-Peters projection for world maps in March 2017”, to provide a truer indication of relative sizes on the Earth (the map I use for my PWRs is fairly close to that);
concerns over increasing violence against civilians in Syria - which has withdrawn from talks on integrating Kurds; Azerbaijan and Armenia have published the text of their initialled but not yet ratified peace agreement; Grenada has dropped its oath of allegiance to the UK Monarch; the USA has eased sanctions on Myanmar’s violent, anti-democratic, authoritarian junta because the USA wants Myanmar’s rare earths ... ; a mapping of the Gulf states involvements in East Africa; fighting has resumed in eastern DRC, despite the peace agreement, leading to a call for the African Union to take over the peace process; the USA’s AIC has ordered the US military to violate other nation’s sovereignty by actively attacking drug cartels - leading to a warning from Mexico to not invade their territory ... but Mexico did subsequently state it had extradited 26 drug fugitives to the USA (was that before or after the US threat? Unfortunately, that makes a difference in today’s world)); “neglected ethnic groups fight for a voice in building peace” in Colombia (“This story is part of the mini-series, Colombians fighting for their own peace, which untangles the complex dynamics of one of the world’s longest-running conflicts and explores how those most affected are finding paths forward and contributing to peacebuilding”); India has rejected arbitration over water disputes with Pakistan; France has acknowledged the use of repressive violence before, during, and after Cameroon’s independence;
On human rightsomatters:
An assessment of landmines which outlines the problem of ongoing civilian harm that led to the “Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of Anti-Personnel Mines and on their Destruction” (aka the Ottawa Convention), the military need for landmines, and the possibility of making landmines which become inactive after a period of time - which the author suggests is reason to set the landmine convention aside, but I am not convinced by mention of a brand new technology with unknown reliability (although I also acknowledge some nations will use landmines rather than be invaded) - see also this and this;
from Bluesky, a “reminder that women are OVERWHELMINGLY more likely to beor_p_d in prison by THE PRISON STAFF than by any other inmates (2/3rds of assaults), and the inmates most likely to be r_p_doare trans women put in male prisons, who areor_p_doat TEN TIMES the rate of the general prison population”; the need for LGBTQIASB+ unity;
a powerful challenge to a far right MP in Australia over welcome to country ceremonies; “use of AI could worsen racism and sexism in Australia, human rights commissioner warns ... Labor divided on how to respond to the emerging technology as media and arts groups fear ‘rampant theft’ of intellectual property”; plans for likely xenophobic, possibly racist certainly misinformed anti-immigrant marches in Australia; as a Sydney restaurant faces legal action for what appears to have been a temporary anti-Palestinian (anti-keffiyeh) ban, NSW announces a $1 million anti-Islamophobia plan;
more active misogyny by the US Defence Secretary; after four years the de facto rulers of Afghanistan have completed their ethnic cleansing of women from public life;
“a recent report has shed light on harms to Australians with disability, including those under guardianship. Advocates say one crucial step is needed for people to be able to tell their own stories and help open the door to change”; the NT coroner has found “a litany of failures, among them the “unmanageable” workload facing Territory Families case workers” and untrained police (who thought they attended a care house to investigate an assault rather than a welfare check!) led to the death of a vulnerable teenager;
On societal and governanceomatters:
The unacknowledged problem of social class in Australia; concerns about Centrelink’s unlawful cut off of social security payments (the AUWU may be able to help); a warning against the self destructiveness of allowing AI to gather product, an examination of the impact of machine learning (aka “AI”) on jobs - and more evidence of racist AI output; “South Africa starts a soul-searching ‘national dialogue’ about poverty, inequality and other issues”;
- “I am a robodebt whistleblower. I know what it’s like to be punished for speaking out and why protection is urgent” https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2025/aug/13/i-am-a-robodebt-whistleblower-i-know-what-its-like-to-be-punished-for-speaking-out-and-why-protection-is-urgent “I immediately saw robodebt for what the royal commission eventually concluded it to be: unlawful and deeply unethical”

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our Mӕgan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
