The purposes of this post include:
(1) to provide information, includingonews, which may be of interest, value, or use to Readers;
(2) to identify both BPM and nonBPM opportunities to do the work of this blog (particularly clearing nonBPM nonphysical units, BPM healing, and BPM strengthening of BPM units - the news items helps draw in/helps me find those people and other units in need of any of the help I can provide); and
(3) to help engage and frameomy emotional, mental, and other nonphysical (psychic, spiritual, Higher Self, BPM Guides, etc) aspects both for doing my weekly PWR and for doing the work that flows from the PWR - which may also occur for some others.
Some of this post will likely be distressing - hence the content warning, to allow people to choose times they have high energy and/or are in a goodostate to view these, or to ensure they have access to support resources if they may be triggered, or to choose to either temporarily or permanently skip viewing this post or the “News” sections, as is best for their health and wellbeing.
Within this post, I generally try to identify what is considered “good” news in green, possibly also with green background, but owing to time, energy, and health limitations, may not always be able to do so. Similarly, I generally try to show editorial commentsoby me in this shade of blue (quotes are in this shade of blue) - and for the times I miss doing so, you should keep your thinking cap on.

This week something struck home for me, and that is the impenetrability of theogroupoinsideotheopolitical party I am a member of that I need to change in order to change the party: the electoral experts who useoCambridgeoAnalyticaotypeoexamination of data to determine, control and direct political messaging - including interpretation of policies as adopted by members.
I joined that party as they have - or had - a reasonable starting position, and I knew - from existing members and their record - that they were capable of good things. I achieved, in fact, a reasonable impact, for a single person in a large organisation (including time with MPs who genuinely listened to what I had to say), but a press release this week has shown the extent to which community fear, right wing media that distort and exacerbate that fear, and the professionalism & expertise of the electoral experts inside the party are combining to offset some outstanding steps forward in my adopted home state with someolowestocommonodenominatoroapproachesotooperceivedopublicosafety.
Some time ago I had suggested what I consider a better approach (see here and here), but that got nowhere - partly because I am a little known nobody inside the party organisation, partly because my suggestion would have involved a political gamble and required a significant amount of work to convince voters, and likely partly because others thought their solutions were better anyway (as is their right).
Be that as it may, on top of a recent betrayal, and the betrayal in the USA by the "Democrats", the press release shows that the change from the previous leader is complete, and I am feeling less hopeful.
I fear this party is only a few electoral cycles behind the neolibs/aka "conservatives" - or maybe, given their new place in political infamy, the US Democrats.
I will likely remain a member (the internal questionnaires show awareness of the possible causes for dissatisfaction of members), and will do what I can to make the party better, but some activities - such as the email responses to press releases - will go by the wayside.
That may also result in a cut back in the amount of detail in these weekly posts - which is something I should do anyway, as I need to focus on finding a day job and/or promoting my (different area to this) business.
There are also some family matters which will require my - willingly given - time and energy.
News :
Noting the excellent daily aggregation of globalonews links at https://everythingbriefing.substack.com/
On the existential climate crisis & nuclear threats and environmental issues this week:
“world still on track for catastrophic 2.6°C temperature rise, report finds”; an Australian survey of a representative sample of 2,000 people found “40% of Australian women without kids hesitant to have children because of climate change” (which is not surprising) - and also some young men, but “a third of Coalition voters believed the climate would not change at all” - which, in my opinion, is why those parties are fading out of existence (and is of concern to some of the them - the amathia of those parties can be illustrated, IMO, by comparing their petulant stance to what it would be if we were discussing some new business technique that would increase reduce the risk of losses: the coalition is being petulant about the up-front cost of something that is known to be of preventative benefit, and choosing at the same to be followers in the market, rather than leaders) - and “Labor must not partner with climate vandals on Australia’s new environmental laws”; “governments failing to shift to a low-carbon economy will be blamed for famine and conflict abroad, and will face stagnation and rising inflation at home, the UN’s climate chief warned on Monday at the start of the Cop30 climate talks” - and see also “the Liberal party’s betrayal of younger voters on net zero isn’t just a moral failure – it’s electoral stupidity” ... and not agreed to by all its members (and a far right media platform has stretched a denialist claim into utter absurdity); transphobes are trying to disrupt COP30;
“‘politicians actually taking action’: six world mayors defying climate-sceptic populist leaders”; “5,000+ Fossil Fuel Lobbyists Got Access to U.N. Climate Talks & Helped Block Climate Action”; Iran's capital may have to be evacuated over water shortages; the USA has eased its former ban on a harmful pollutant; “France’s Fontainebleau forest – one of the world's first nature reserves – has felt the impacts of the climate crisis for many years. As the world’s nations meet for the COP30 climate talks, this forest just 60 kilometres southeast of Paris serves as a “laboratory” for how to adapt woodlands to a warming world”; workplace safety under the climate crisis; a new peer reviewed paper reminds us all what is happening as far as climate change goes; my home state “leads the nation in climate action ... we’re seeing results ... Between 2005 and 2023, while Victoria’s greenhouse emissions fell by 31.4%, our economy grew by 57.5%”; Iceland is preparing for a crisis if an Atlantic circulation current collapses; “the cautionary tale of the Sahel’s Great Green Wall” - the problem of top down finance and funds going to NGOs that aren’t local;
In the global struggle against f_sc_sm (and “producerism” and sociocide) - whichoisofought wherever we are (note the advice/examples/guidance on resistance here, here, here, here, here, here, here, this [on the efficacy of nonviolent protest], this book, this book, this, and these) this week:
A UK media platform that I have avoided for years because of its right wing transphobia has been attacked by - and caved in to - “a coordinated, politically motivated [right wing] attack” - this situation is brilliantly analysed, and the hidden right wing extremist influences (including the alleged independent expert's bias) revealed here - see also this; “... informed and interested people have given up on the mainstream media for news, knowing that what they get is biased” - which is of concern as “reliable media is the bedrock of democracy” and, without it, “the far-right can manipulate those who are not as questioning”; “... how the American right turned James Buchanan's public choice theory into a political strategy for entrenching the power of the wealthy minority ... MacLean traced the project to the 1950s American South. Desegregation threatened the white elite's control of state power. Economists like Buchanan provided the intellectual armour for resistance. ... Public choice theory recasts every act of democratic decision-making as self-interest”; Trans Murder Monitoring has recorded 281 murders in 12 months of TGD people, with “a notable rise in murders of activists and movement leaders ... “This rise is a deliberate attempt to silence those defending freedom and equality. These murders are the most extreme consequence of political discourse that dehumanises trans people. Governments must act now to protect trans human rights defenders and ensure that trans communities can live and organise safely””; growing concerns over the “‘sickening’ double standard” of a recent “‘unfathomable’” approval by NSW police of a n__-n_oz_ rally - and some inappropriate reactions and death and r_pe threats against female MPs; the importance of seizing control of media back from the ultra-rich; a warning that “AI could become “dangerous and sinister” considering some who finance it hold views that are “extremely autocratic””; opposition to nuclear weapons is being mislabelled as a national security threat in the UK - and see also this assessment of why the USA wants its military forces in Scotland; how the 13th November 2015 Paris, France attacks “increased police powers and eroded civil liberties”; how authoritarians use panic; “the way we build houses in the UK could be costing you an average of almost £67,000. This could be fixed by making housebuilding a public infrastructure project rather than a means for very rich shareholders to transfer your wealth to themselves”; “young people are alienated by neoliberalism”;
a charge against billionaires - especially the one who has so far killed around 400,000 people and will ultimately kill over 14 million;
“Australia's spy chief has expressed concern about the potential for AI to take online radicalisation and disinformation to new levels” - the article examines actual cases, "layered approach", quest for influence, etc;
“money, and the stories that are told to engineer control and privilege”; a debunking of the woefully inaccurate and misleading “Laffer curve”; a warning that decades of neoliberalism have broken Australian universities; criticism by a judge in the ACT of a prosecutor for effectively being - in my words - Tr_mpoian; “ATO outsourcing to private call centres focused on boosting profit not helping Australians”; anti-child trauma punishing "race to the bottom" laws in my home state - “Will Victoria’s new youth crime laws be tough on crime or just a coward punch? ... widely condemned as an easy way out ... It creates more victims of crime”;
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regarding the USA and theiroleader, noting this on “a slight change of activist focus”, include:
The pathology of political opposition - which also raises something I have long thought desirable: serve one term, then do not stand for re-election at the end of your term ... re-engage with life, and actively demonstrate that you are unlikely to be twisting your decisions around re-election (re-election being something which makes ALL elected representatives populist to an extent); SNAP benefits have been paused again ... ; continuing self destruction of the far right; a critique of the trial of "sandwich guy"; workers rights were violated by alteration of messages to a partisan version; after a staggering - and possibly premeditated - betrayal by US Democrats (there are calls for the "Democrat" leader to step down), the US government shutdown is on the way to being ended FOR ZERO GAINS; a major notorious neochristian sect has chosen a far right zealot leader;
- Evidence of the USoleader’s and/or his regime's unsuitability (including mentally) this week include: this, this, this, this - see also this & this, this, this (more mathematical/economical/out of touch with reality incompetence), this, this;
- Lies by theoUSoleader this week include: this;
§ On migration, border control, rendition, deportations, and associated legal matters, ICE is stealing ("keeping" ... which if there is no return, becomes stealing) people's valuables and passports; a judge has strictly limited ICE use of force in Chicago; ICE thugs' child abuse activities now also include pepper spraying a toddler; silencing by expulsion of criticism of Israel's genocide; South Korean workers who were abused by ICE have lodged a class action complaint; “Venezuela nationals deported to El Salvador were tortured [and some subjected to SA], rights groups say”;
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regardingoUkraine/Russia (et al) include (and note that war is inherently, personally brutal):
The USA will give Russia-friendly Hungary a one year exemption from sanctions on Russian gas but blocked a Swiss-based oil trading company from bidding for Russian assets on the basis of allegedly being a Russian puppet ... and will sell gas to Ukraine - which is being accused of scapegoating a former energy chief and the energy system is down after a massive Russian attack and the safety of the nuclear plant at Zaporizhzhia is still at risk; the EU is tightening visa rules for Russians; “US sanctions Ukrainian firms accused of helping supply parts for Iran’s Shahed drones used by Russia”; “Brazilian foreign fighters in Ukraine sound alarm about infiltration by South American gangs”; “amid renewed Russia threat, Germany prepares new conscription model ahead of potential draft return in 2026”;
Ukraine is seeking funds to realise its capacity to manufacture long range weapons - see also this, on Sweden's aid, and this on funds from the people of Czechia; a leak and other actions may have compromised a major (and possibly Russian-linked) anti-corruption case against Zelens'kyi supporters - although some actions has been taken, but a case running for a decade has been successfully concluded;
Russian AI deepfakes are being aimed at disrupting Ukraine's mobilisation; efforts are underway to improve exchanges of POWs; Russia's latest source of cannon fodder is India; 200 Kenyans are fighting for Russia;
The problem of western nation nations losing every ceasefire - i.e., being duped and outmanoeuvred by Russia; “Memorial of Heroes, a Ukrainian emotionalisation and documentary project that records the stories of those killed by Russia's war against Ukraine, has had its YouTube channel deleted six times over the previous month”;
On other international affairs/political news matters this week:
Items of concern/note (and associated resistance/actions) in/regardingoWest Asiaoinclude:
TĂĽrkiye, which was recently excluded from any Gaza stabilisation force by Israel, has issued an arrest warrant for Israel's Prime Minister (as has the ICC, some time ago) and 37 other members of Israel's senior leadership over the Gaza genocide; the US leader is trying to pressure Israel's president into pardoning (see this) Israel's Prime Minister;
“alarmed by efforts to publicise its violence against Palestinians, Israel is moving to expel international solidarity activists from the occupied West Bank”;
four people protesting the Israeli Philharmonic concert in Paris, France have been arrested after smoke flares were lit;
The massive, ongoing tragedy of civil war in Sudan - including mass SA and public mass SA - is not being given commensurate media and international attention - and a Middle East Eye exclusive reports that, after atrocities by the UAE armed Rapid Support Forces in North Darfur and Kordofan, “Egypt and Turkey boost support for Sudan’s army”. Disturbing revelations that the UK was warned of coming genocide in El Fasher months ago, and chose to do nothing of consequence; the UN Security Council has removed Syria transitional president from sanctions imposed on the previous regime (which is a reasonable act of trust, but one which must continue to be merited, and thus violence against the Druze minority and similar problems must be prevented/managed); France’s President has “said the fight against drug trafficking must respect each state’s sovereignty as he wrapped up a Latin American tour with a maiden visit to Mexico [which] appeared to criticise the [current US] administration’s aggressive anti-narcotics campaign in the Caribbean” - and the UK has stopped sharing intelligence with the USA over US actions (and possible war crimes) there ... see also this assessment of what the USA is doing with regard to Venezuela, and this latest regional threat from the USA; China is angry that the EU allowed Taiwan to address the EU Parliament, which included a call for cooperative "countering" of China; allegations China is trying to infiltrate Australian infrastructure; ho-hum ... the G7 foreign ministers from have reaffirmed support for Ukraine, condemned violence in Sudan, and stayed silent on “contentious issues such as recent US military strikes in the Caribbean and tensions over trade” ... ; a review of Australia-Indonesia relations; Iran has seized a foreign owned oil tanker; “UN chief urges increased global action to promote Africa’s development”;
On human rightsomatters:
“We need moral courage and leadership in the battle against bigotry”;
the worsening situation of Rohingya refugees;
in Australia calls for a better system as the one millionth permanent humanitarian visa is issued;
evidence supports the roles and actions of NACCHOs (National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisations) and ADLOs (Aboriginal Disability Liaison Officers) with the NDIS, and makes recommendations to further improve that;
in rare good news from the USA, a challenge to Equal Marriage has been rejected, but a religion has made a transphobic act of hate;
“Why Women Are Quiet Quitting Their Whole Lives”;
On societal and governanceomatters:
The first of what is planned to be an annual series of assessments of democracy in Australia (the McKinnon index) has indicated democracy is in a reasonable situation (key findings here, detailed findings [66 pages] here), although I consider satisfaction with service delivery should be higher (i.e., service delivery needs to improve), around one quarter of Australians “could be considered disengaged from the democratic process”, and one-in-five younger Australians cannot be friends with those of opposing political views (which I consider could be a measure of the reaction to the presence of far right extremism [including fascism and n__-n_oz_sm], and thus is not necessarily a bad thing), but 8.5% of young men and 2.4% of Australians overall support political violence, which is of concern, and is related to increased reliance on online sources of news and lower understanding of how democracy works, leading to a recommendation for better education as one of many recommendations;
The UK government has refused to refer a data leak to the required body; a call for Council homes to fix the housing shortage in the UK (this worked a century ago, and removes the crippling for-profit motive of the housing industry from the situation); the history of (prescient) opposition to poker machines in Australia; a debunking of the 1970s stagflation myth (global events were actually the main problem, with recovery as those stopped having an influence); half a century of neoliberal destruction of the Australian university system; a The Guardian exclusive reports that the NDIA has, despite claiming otherwise, been using AI for some participant plans (and their definition of machine learning is wrong); Africa has its first continent wide medical regulator;
⇒ ✰✰✰ From a spiritual perspective: be mindful of and track the flows of money, which is the measure that evil uses to direct and assess its impacts - and remember that mass consumer action is the greatest threat to those flows and what it does ✰✰✰

Remember: we generally need to be more human being rather than human doing, to mind our MÓ•gan, and to acknowledge that all misgendering is an act of active transphobia/transmisia that puts trans+ lives at risk & accept that all insistence on the use of “trans” as a descriptor comes with commensurate use of “cis” as a descriptor to prevent “othering” (just as binary gendered [men’s and women’s] sporting teams are either both given the gender descriptor, or neither).
