Post No. 1,855 - Magickal Battle of the World - Weekly Meditation - Week No. 49 - The challenge of servant-leadership in this unevolved world

Black Lives Matter!

Stay safe - wash your hands, practice social distancing and wear a face mask in public, and follow informed medical advice - and be considerate towards those at risk or in situations of vulnerability (including economic) while the COVID-19 pandemic is a problem.

I have been writing about improving the world through a range of means on my blogs: this blog has been focused on spiritual and psychic means, including strengthening  BPM  units and clearing nonBPM units, and meditation to generate BPM energy (and units, if you know enough).

This has been done before - particularly during times of crisis.

The climate crisis has been our World War III for some time (with the denialists being, at the very least, the WW3 equivalents of Quisling, Vichy France, etc), and we now have the COVID-19  pandemic, caused by the zoonotic  SARS-CoV-2  novel coronavirus (there are other novel coronaviruses), on top of that.

World War II was probably the biggest global crisis before our current dual crises, and during those terrible events, there were a number of people undertaking magickal work, including  the work by Dion Fortune (there were others) outlined in the Gareth Knight edited book “The Magical Battle of Britain” (my copy pub. Skylight Press, 2012, ISBN 978-1-908011-45-9), which I reviewed here. Ms Fortune directed her team through a series of 136 weekly and (I think) 19 monthly meditations (I originally intended to publish a list at some stage, but it’s so long and comprehensive that I’m concerned about breaching copyright, so I may either see if I can find an online list, or publish something listing the broad themes only). At the end of this, she was exhausted, and that work is considered to have contributed to her death, but a change for the better had been accomplished.

We already have a lot of people doing a lot of work on making the world a better place (including before the current crises - and I’ve found this group working at following [and adapting] Ms Fortune’s techniques and purposes), but I would like to extend my contribution to also include a series of weekly - or near weekly - meditations along the line of those directed by Ms Fortune, work which goes beyond my initial response.

I am proposing this be added to the Sunday meditations which are part of my regular psychic work, but there will now also be exercises (“homework”). For convenience, an outline of the meditation is provided at the end of this post.

The notes on each week’s meditation will probably be brief to the point of being terse.

This Week: No. 49 - The challenge of servant-leadership in this unevolved world

There is a term “servant  leadership”, popularised by Robert K. Greenleaf in the 1970s (with an earlier history), which, in my words, is about a healthier form of leadership, free of the toxic masculinity that has plagued so much of it, which is focused on custodianship and nurturing of resources - passing on to the future an organisation that is better in all ways than what started.

In particular, there is a major focus on the wellbeing and development of people.

You can more about this concept at the links above, but there are a few points I wish to cover.

Firstly, servant-leadership is more about being organised, resourced & trained up properly in advance, and good planning, than “inspiring rhetoric” - inspiring rhetoric may come into it, but more in the context of ensuring others can use it if needed. Above all else, it is about establishing and maintaining healthy relationships - not friendships, but the sort of situation where people want to help each other (and not to achieve an artificial goal imposed from above).

“Leaders” who are so rarely seen that they aren’t known cannot ever be good leaders in any sense, and particularly so in terms of servant leadership.

Imposing one sided goals is also never good leadership, and - again - doubly so in the context of servant leadership - trebly so for volunteer groups. There does need to be a workable overlap of goals, or otherwise it is better to go separate ways, but that needs to be based on mutual respect.

And, on that, just as it is important to not be abusive, it is also important to not accept abuse. Our insanely and aggressively fast-paced world often creates situations where people are stressed beyond what is reasonable, but that should be acknowledged as being a crisis due to external factors, and managed appropriately. Such situations should not occur in the context of volunteer groups doing this sort of work. If you want to work at a faster and more intense pace than others, find or found a group with that intention; if you’re in the minority and others want to work faster, excuse yourself and find or found a slower paced group.

Particularly for volunteer groups but, really, in all cases, avoid hubris: in my day job (particularly a couple of decades ago), I would often get annoyed when leaders would say “I will do X”, and then it would turn out there was a team behind them.

That’s lying: don’t do it.

In this sort of work, you most often need others - some physical, some nonphysical; respect everyone’s skills, and find a way to weave them together into a cohesive whole. Giving and receiving “warm fuzzies” is a part of that.

When dealing with others, be aware of problems such as FBU, micro-aggression or passive-aggressive behaviour (especially against collaborative / consensus styles of leadership - as I can attest to, on the basis of my experience), and that, in the context of group work, a lot of that can be managed by adequate preparation and training.

Sometimes life will throw a problem, though, and it needs to be dealt with as best as possible - and, in some cases, that involves feeling the pain and going on anyway, provided one ensures one gets healing afterwards.

In this very imperfect world, trying to be a healthy leader is difficult - there is so much that is focused on, essentially, ignoring human motivations (or, worse, twisting them), money, and turning people into cogs for the powerful - with that being interpreted in the widest sense of “power”.

As a starting point on that, there is a recent article about working with people who are not self-aware which is worth a read - you can find it here.

In general, seek to maintain ethics and integrity, beware of group think - all the lessons to date have relevance to this lesson.

Thinking well is important, and for that, find what helps you do so better. For me, that is “going bush” or having a good meditation session (not the mindfulness rubbish).

Collaboration, consultation, and discussion are also important - but it may not be possible to seek consensus if too many group members are affected by toxic positivity, FBU, passive-aggression / microaggressions, etc.

Throughout all this, remember that we are living in an imperfect world, we are all scarred, and we all have a mix of human frailties and strengths, and then seek to do one’s best - including having the right balance of forbearance and firmness.

Exercise D - objects (self work)

Establish and check  protection, and then do your initial self-assessment.

This is basically a variation of Exercise B, but directed towards objects - nonphysical things (objects, thought forms, clouds of energy, etc - anything without sentience.

NonBPM objects can be cleared, and BPM  objects can be strengthened. The clearing of a nonBPM object is best done by dissolving it with BPM energy (a description often simplified to “love”) – which is also the technique for strengthening a BPM object.

When you clear a nonBPM object with BPM energy, any people or places connected to it will have the immediate psychic burden of that object removed (there will likely still be some aftereffects that still need to be addressed), and thus will generally both feel better and function more effectively in life.

When you strengthen a BPM object, the people or places connected to the object will generally experience a lift in mood and ability to enjoy life and function well.

The strength of these effects will depend on the strength of the object concerned.

Clearing a nonBPM object:

  • establish protection (and check that it is adequate - yes I know I have already covered this: it is important enough to emphasise by repeating a few times);
  • think of a time in your life when you most felt a generous, BPM love or similar positive energy, and relive that time or moment as much as possible to rebuild those energies in your aura;
  • ask your BPM guides to help you become aware of the location of the nonBPM object that it is most appropriate (which more or less means “most important to clear of those within your current capacity to clear”), for the Highest Spiritual Good, that you clear;
  • when you have a sense of where that object is, allow the love you have built up to flow out to that object until you feel that it has totally dissolved. If this object was formed as a result of you doing wrong to someone else, you will be (partly) healing that person by this action;
  • you can repeat this for other objects, but I strongly recommend that you alternate between clearing nonBPM and strengthening BPM objects;
  • when you have finished, close your chakras and aura, centre and ground yourself, thank the BPM guides for their help, and allow the protection to ease back to whatever your BPM guides wish you to have for normal, everyday life.

Strengthening a BPM object:

  • establish protection (and check that it is adequate);
  • think of a time in your life when you most felt a generous, BPM love, and relive that time or moment as much as possible, to rebuild those energies in your aura;
  • ask you BPM guides to help you become aware of the location of the BPM object that it is most appropriate (which more or less means “most important to clear of those within your current capacity to clear”), for the Highest Spiritual Good, that you strengthen;
  • when you have a sense of where that object is, allow the love you have built up to flow out to that object until you feel the love coming back (at the other end of the object, the person receiving this object may find themselves suddenly thinking warmly of you);
  • you can repeat this for other objects;
  • when you have finished, close your chakras and aura, centre and ground yourself, thank the BPM guides for their help, and allow the protection to ease back to whatever your BPM guides wish you to have for normal, everyday life.

Do your final self-assessment and restorative work, re-check yourself (get help if you need it), and then close your chakras, centre yourself and close your aura, use the banishing version of the LBRP to close circle, ground and release all excess energy; and make sure you are grounded and closed down - implement your Psychic Emergency Action Plan if necessary.

The Meditation (see here, here, and here) broadly consists of:

 - appropriate and responsible protection (see here, here, here), prayer and ritual (e.g., here) to establish and check protection (re-do the protection, or re-schedule the meditation, if you don’t feel safe and secure);

 - establish a personal connection to your Higher BPM influences;

 - visualise the sigil (see above) for this work. Think of what this work means for you as you do so, then, when you feel you have fully tuned in to the meaning of the sigil, see it as a portal or doorway (you could open it like a door [close it behind you], simply pass through it, visualise yourself shrinking and passing through the centre, or whatever else works best for you), and travel through to to a place created by the visualisation of yourself and others for this work. That place should have:
     (a) a visualisation of the workplace you personally prefer - something you can change, if you wish, as you yourself change;   and
     (b) a shared visualisation of a device to astrally share our knowledge, something developed in a previous project (still active astrally): a visualisation of a large, green, multifaceted emerald. Large: around half the size of the Moon; multifaceted - billions, for all people who wish to be part of this at any time; green - largely tied up with the previous project, but has connotations of nature and growth. One of those facets is yours - choose whatever location and shape you wish (and you may change that as you change [grow] over time), but in the interest of humility and sharing, see it at around human - or human aura - size;

 - flush one’s aura with green (R0, G102, B0), blue (R0, G0, B204) and purple (R153 G0, B204);

 - fill one’s Heart Chakra (and maybe one’s Earth Star, Solar Plexus, Third Eye and Crown Chakras) with green, blue and purple; send a weave of three streams of this colour from the Chakra(s) to the visualised gigantic, multi-faceted emerald through your facet until you see your energy enlivening other areas of the emerald and can feel similar energies flowing back to you;

 - visualise the rune / bindrune (if given - or, on Sunday, the group of symbols provided);

 - generate  feelings of love, peace, joy and respect;

 - strengthen those feelings (energies);

 - radiate those energies to the world for nine to eighteen minutes;

 - then, on Sunday, also perform the additional meditation work for around 15 minutes or so: contemplate the topic, and the spiritual (i.e., nonphysical) implications of it, and seek insights and understanding. Do not be distracted by thoughts of physical actions - those are necessary also, but this exercise is about the nonphysical, in the broadest possible sense, and the focus should be on nonphysical actions, energy flows, symbols, and the like, all with the intention of bringing about a change for the better. As a second stage, if you wish, you can meditate on any physical actions which may be necessary, but get the spiritually focused work done first;

 - when you have finished your work:
     (i) send the thought of any knowledge you wish to store or share through your portal into the group visualised emerald;
     (ii) return back through the sigil; and
     (iii) close your chakras, centre and ground yourself and close your aura, use the banishing version of the LBRP to open circle, ground and release all excess energy; and make sure you are grounded and closed down – eat, if you need to, or seek help from someone capable and trusted.

The work for the assigned exercises broadly comprises the following:

 - establish appropriate and responsible protection (see here, here, here), prayer and ritual (e.g., here) to establish and check protection (re-do or re-schedule, if you don’t feel safe and secure);

 - establish a personal connection to higher BPM influences;

 - flush one's aura with emerald green, royal blue and royal purple;

 - fill one’s Heart Chakra (and maybe one’s Earth Star, Solar Plexus, Third Eye and Crown Chakras) with emerald green, royal blue and royal purple; send a weave of three streams of this colour from the Chakra(s) to a visualisation of a gigantic, multi-faceted emerald (which has been created to facilitate networking of BPM workers) through your facet until you see your energy enlivening other areas of the emerald and can feel similar energies flowing back to you;

 - visualise this week’s sigil;

 - generate  feelings of love, peace, joy and respect, strengthen those feelings (energies), and radiate those energies to the world (ideally for nine to eighteen minutes, but do what you can), focusing on the planetary region(s) and attributes for that day as specified in this week’s Psychic Weather Report (as, if none, as you consider necessary or best);

 - perform the meditation or other work and exercise(s) as set out in this post;

 - close your chakras, centre yourself and close your aura, use the banishing version of the LBRP to close circle, ground and release all excess energy; and make sure you are grounded and closed down – eat, if you need to, implement your Psychic Emergency Action Plan if necessary (e.g., seek help from someone capable and trusted). As a final point, note that your BPM family of choice (i.e., friends - especially those outside this area of your life) and BPM family will help keep your life grounded - but they must beBPM: as the Wiccan  Rede says “With a fool no season spend, nor be counted as their friend.”
