We now come to the topic of: how many dowsing points should one have?
This can be more usefully thought of as: what size should the areas of focus be?
Someone could say: I am working on the world, so one dowsing result (number) will give me what I need to know.
There is some validity to this, in that if the number goes up or down, you know something needs to change. If you were, say, playing a game of quoits and when you throw the ring it lands to the left, you know that the next time you throw you need to aim a little more to the right.
If, however, you are looking at a larger, more complex system, you need more accurate information.
Suppose you were a doctor treating an external infection in a patient. You couldn’t, say, force the patient to shower in a topical disinfectant - disinfectants suited to the toe, for instance, may well damage the eye, and disinfectant everywhere may kill the good microorganisms elsewhere and thus create more problems than they solve.
Or . . . if you had the power to control the weather, you would need to know more than “make it cooler/warmer/drier/wetter” - rain in one area may be good, but may cause floods elsewhere.
Or if you are a coach teaching a sporting team, say, your motivation techniques need to be adapted to the players. “Harsh and forceful criticism” (actually, I’m thinking of the abuse some fools think is “a challenge”) may work for a few, but is likely to either be ineffective with others (“who does this IPOC think they are???!!!!”) or even to cause harm - as has become quite apparent recently in the media.
So there are good reasons to have more than just one, overall number.
But how many numbers - how many areas of focus?
This is where time and resource restrictions become an issue.
I would like to do a divination for every area that has a unique energy signature to it - and that energy signature is caused by the people living there + the energies of the natural environment (which is a in turn a combination of energy from natural features - NOT only power places, but also the land geography) and what has been done to it + any spiritual influences.
If there is a valley with a river in it, it will be different to a valley without a river. If there are people living in the valley, they will add their energy to it: if the people are split into two very different cultures (one, say, caring, and the other materialistic and war-like), their energies will be vastly different, and thus the energy of those two places would need to be assessed differently.
That would be enhanced by the fact that the caring culture is likely to attract and accept spiritual energies, whereas the war-like culture would resent and actively resist anything to detracted from being a killer.
The influence of spirit is also not inconsiderable - and is, in fact, one of the benefits of me doing my psychic weather reports (in other words, it’s not only those who are physically doing that work who are trying: we are all getting help - just as Spirit is getting more help from us than we perhaps realise). That influence is not only our BPM Guides, it is also Matron/Patron Deities - and there are also nonBPM influences, such as uncooperatives.
In fact, such spirit influences are particularly significant immediately after disasters, such as the earthquake and tsunami that led to the Fukushima nuclear disaster, the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, or the climate-crisis exacerbated 2019-20 bushfires in my nation.
Over the years I have been doing the Psychic Weather Reports, I have developed a system that I can get done with the time and energy I have available. I would love to be able to do this in a more detailed way, and have on a few occasions (e.g., here), but I can’t - that is where have a thousand or more dowsers working together would be fantastic, as it would enable people to focus on the areas of particular interest to each dowser (in such a case, I would probably focus on Africa).
In terms of working with this concept, I suggest the following:
- draw a map of your house, and then dowse at quite a few locations - maybe every 2 or 3 metres outside the house, and each corner and centre of each room - that you can access without invading anyone else’s privacy or personal space - inside (if you are in a flat, just do this inside the flat);
- then cut down the number of dowsing points - maybe just once in each room, and just front and back yard if you have them. If you can, do this gradually - for instance, maybe an intermediate exercise where you dowse two locations in each room, and maybe the four corners of the yard;
- now cut it down to just one dowsing number for your entire home;
- compare the various results:
o are there locations that you do not need to dowse (for instance, one corner of a particular room may be inaccessible)?
o how many points do you need to get a good idea of what is happening energetically?
o if you were really pressed for time, what would be the absolute minimum number of locations you could dowse to guide any spiritual work you do?
o how does this change when you repeat the exercise (you should do this at least three times - including at least three differing “densities” of dowsing location)?
- next, WITHOUT BREAKING ANY PANDEMIC LOCKDOWN REQUIREMENTS OR LAWS AGAINST TRESPASS, try this for larger areas - perhaps the car park for a shopping centre (it is still necessary, sadly, to avoid attracting too much public attention for your personal safety), and analyse and repeat as per the above;
- finally, again WITHOUT
BREAKING ANY PANDEMIC LOCKDOWN REQUIREMENTS OR LAWS AGAINST TRESPASS,
do the above exercises for a larger area. In my case, when I was starting off
with this (decades ago now in the PWE [pre-wrinkle era] 😉 ), I used to
practice my sensing along various walking tracks in a large national park
nearby. I’ve also checked my sensing in locations overseas against reliable journalism
I can find for those areas.
How you do it is up to you, but basically, the idea is to try the idea of more vs. fewer dowsing locations at gradually larger locations so you can a feel for the level of information you get, and the necessity to manage the amount of effort so you continue to live a normal, healthy life.
Your final exercise is to start researching the various cultures and geographies around the world.
I was fortunate to get a periodical called “Family of Man” when I was a child: it has inaccuracies in it and a sexist title, but it helped me gain a feel for the wide range of cultures around the world. (I also gained a benefit from being a trance medium for rescue work, as I - to some extent - get to share the experiences - good and bad - of those I channelled.)
To be able to effectively apply this lesson, you need to experiment, and gain as broad an understanding of the breadth and depth of human and geographic variety that this world has as you can.
Enjoy 😊
