One of the flaws of humanity is that we can be a bit oblivious - a flaw that has been exacerbated since we became domesticated (aka “civilised”). Partly as a result of that, and partly due to our ability to impact the world, the focus of many people doing this sort of spiritual-psychic work is to focus on humans.
Humans have been devastating the natural
world for the sake of quick and easy profits for several centuries now;
humans have the power to destroy the current liveability of the planet within
hours through a nuclear war;
humans perpetrate appalling abuses against other sentient life, including
torture, rape, murder . . .
and humans have the power to undo that damage and contain those threats . . .
That means it is important to make sure political and other leaders are protected from evil influences - both physical (through activism) and non-physical (through work such as the Magickal Battle of world series - latest lesson here).
However, we are not separate to the world of Nature. Natural catastrophes may cause massive harm to people, and thus a wave of pain and similar energies - as, for instance, happened with the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, which killed over 200,000 people and caused injuries and devastation on a massive scale across almost all of that ocean, many within an hour.
On a more constructive note, many of us are recharged and regenerated by trips to nature - especially power spots.
So . . . we can harm the world of Nature . . . the world of nature can harm us . . . the world of Nature can help (we depend on ecosystems for survival) or heal us . . . we can help or heal (for instance, I have bought crystals purely because they were in pain and needed healing, and I used to do a sort of rescue of sick pot plants - especially trees in pots) the world of Nature . . .
Going a step beyond that, elements can be actively used in healing - for instance, putting channelled energy into water or other drinks, or buying someone a plant for good cheer.
Going a step beyond that, or going up in scale, if you prefer, it is possible for areas that do not have many - or any - humans to have a major impact on the world’s energetic state. These effects are both positive (e.g., life giving rains) and negative (e.g. the tropical cyclones that form over oceans), and also come from the sentient life in those regions - fish in the oceans, trees in forests, birds in the sky. Harm those (e.g., see here for the damage debris does to seals), and the damage is not just to the ecosystem or the psyche of humans: the pain and distress of that sentient life (including plant life) is a source of negative energy, just as such energy can be a source of beneficial life as well - and can be strong enough to have an impact.
What this all boils down to is: when you are dowsing to determine energy, do NOT focus solely on where humans are - also check those areas where Nature does not have human presences.
