Post No. 2,052 - Magickal Battle of the World - Weekly Meditation - Lesson No. 78 - Healing casualties

Black Lives Matter!
The Climate Crisis is real, urgent and
existential!

Stay safe - wash your hands, practice social distancing and wear a face mask in public, and follow informed medical advice - and be considerate towards those at risk or in situations of vulnerability (including economic).

I have been writing about improving the world through a range of means on my blogs: this blog has been focused on spiritual and psychic means, including strengthening  BPM  units and clearing nonBPM units, and meditation to generate BPM energy (and units, if you know enough). This has been done before - particularly during times of crisis. (See also this excellent analysis on the topic.)

World War II was probably the biggest global crisis before our current situation, and during those terrible events, there were a number of people undertaking magickal work, including Dion Fortune - as outlined in the Gareth Knight edited book “The Magical Battle of Britain” (my copy pub. Skylight Press, 2012, ISBN 978-1-908011-45-9), which I reviewed here. Ms Fortune directed her team through a series of 136 weekly and 19 monthly meditations; at the end of this, she was exhausted and that work is considered to have contributed to her death, but a change for the better had been accomplished.

Coming back to the present, the climate crisis has been our World War III for some time, and we also have the COVID-19  pandemic, caused by the zoonotic  SARS-CoV-2  novel coronavirus (there are other novel coronaviruses), on top of that.

Now, we already have a lot of people doing a lot of work on making the world a better place (including before the current crises - and I’ve found this group working at following [and adapting] Ms Fortune’s techniques and purposes), but I would like to extend my contribution to also include a series of weekly - or near weekly - meditations along the line of those directed by Ms Fortune, work which goes beyond my initial response.

This post is this week’s contribution.

This Lesson: No. 78 - Healing casualties

One of the worst aspects of physical war is that of casualties - people physically and psychically wounded or traumatised, people killed, and massive devastation to the lives of sentient beings. War is terrible - as is well known by those involved in it, whether fighting, or directly or indirectly affected.

Nonphysical conflict also involves the risk of casualties - although, in terms of what is being done now, much of the effort is aimed at ending negative psychic control (not by whoever the conspiracy fantasists are blaming this week: by normal everyday humans who have flaws that are possibly all too human, and are possibly well intentioned [‘this is for your own good’] although terribly misguided [the Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader arc in the Star Wars films illustrates that).

Potential gains should be assessed using the techniques outlined in this series of lessons and by consultation with credible, respected and adequately informed people, but is irrelevant to this lesson.

The focus for this lesson is what to do when injuries do occur.

A key point here is that prevention is better than cure, and that includes preventing indirect injury - particularly to the significant others (or “loved ones”, if you prefer) of those doing this work.

If you are so unbalanced that you are neglecting those in your life, you WILL also be making wrong decisions about this work - particularly what clearing can be justified ethically or not.

It is CRUCIAL to have and maintain balance in your own life BEFORE you can act to bring balance to the lives of others.

It is that loss of balance that I am particularly concerned about - I have seen it happen to others, I have made that mistake myself, and I have the advantage of being old and knowing that impatience is rarely justified, let alone useful (particularly in this arena of life).

Another major long term risk is that cynicism or hardening of attitudes - a psychic wound many police develop over time, a wound compounded by not being recognised, let alone monitored or addressed in any way.

In addition to long term effects, there are short term effects - the effects of psychic attack, for instance.

In the medium term, there are perhaps lifestyle risks, such as compromising one’s employment. I have come across many people who think their psychic work is so indispensable that they should be supported by others so they can keep doing it as the sole focus of their life.

Rubbish.

There are MANY people doing this sort of work, and “the powers that be” are not so stupid as to put all their eggs in one basket. No-one is indispensable, but the balance and contact with humanity of a normal life IS indispensable to YOU.

Loss of friendships can happen as one changes, but such losses should NEVER be as a result of neglect - particularly arising out of an unbalanced focus on this work. If that does happen, the people you have injured will have to be helped by others working at making this world a better place, which counts against any good you do elsewhere. It’s a case of one step forward, one step backward in terms of your impact on the world.

Better not to create the harm in the first place.

That is particularly so during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, a tragedy illustrating the need for caring for other sentient beings which is one of the key motivations for this series of lessons. Harming your loved ones for the sake of strangers is both hypocritical and counter to what this is all about - but also wrong is limiting your focus ONLY to those close to you.

Equally, however, do NOT stay in  situations that are abusive! To do that is also counter to what this series of lessons is about. Domestic violence is a terrible crime, and such situations should be left if you can. Also, some friendships end - for instance, people who realise they are part of the LGBTIQ+ communities should leave any friends and family who are LGBTIQ-phobic until those bigots learn to be decent human beings. To tolerate wrong behaviour in such situations is to risk condoning it, and that is NOT going to make the world a better place.

As a final point on this, whereas in the physical war those running it may consider deaths and injuries to hold land worthwhile, this struggle is nonphysical, and what it is about is the nonphysical health and wellbeing of sentient beings: injuries are, in and of themselves, a sort of failure - comparable to losing land in a physical war that you were trying to hold.

Nevertheless, this is an imperfect world, and to focus on avoiding injuries above all else is to risk toxic positivity.

So, having got all that out of the way, what to do about injuries?

Firstly, use conventional medicine as a key part of any issues. Get competent professional help for problems - particularly mental health issues.

One of the many things this pandemic is showing is the harm caused by ignoring sound medical advice ... so, don’t do that in other areas of your life as well.

It wouldn’t hurt the medical profession to be less bigoted, but that’s a topic for another time and place (where Lynne  McTaggart’s work would be featured and discussed - although I disagree with her stance on vaccination [which dates back to the 1990s]).

So, on the basis that you have already got competent conventional medical help, what other matters could you do to look after yourself?

Well, self care would be top of the list: proper rest, exercise, diet, etc - all the boring mundane things that boring mundane doctors and medical professionals advise us to do . . . because it works (mind you, neoliberalism has made doing a lot of that harder - in particular, ask those trying to survive by working in the “gig” economy).

The link is to a lesson which sets up a system for you to monitor yourself and your life, and look for changes - particularly long term changes. That was published back in April, so by now you would have around half a year’s worth of data . . . wouldn’t you?

I’ll pause typing to enjoy the fidgeting of those who don’t . . . :)

The idea of monitoring, of course, is that it leads to action - well, hopefully. And that is where my workshop on nonphysical health, strength and wellbeing comes into consideration. That also includes monitoring, but also specific suggestions to try in order to determine what works best for  YOU. And there is no way to get around that: we are all different, so what works for one will not necessarily work for others (conventional medicine looks for contraindications at the moment, but there are moves to develop tailored approaches for people [which don’t as yet address privacy, employment, and other risks where based on DNA). You have to try something, see how it goes, maybe tweak it a little - and avoid being influenced by “friends” who are offended if your body responds differently (I have known such fools).

As an example, I get a boost out of a particular type of breathing exercise that my partner finds unpleasant to even try. I also do well with shiatsu, but have a friend can’t stand any form of physical therapy other than myotherapy - which I find of little benefit. I also like classical and some country music (which can be very restorative after a tough day at work): our rescue dog also likes classical, and some of it is liked by my partner, but - for the sake of the neighbourhood, let alone the house - I play country music with my headphones on :)

A final example: I hate exercising in front of people (to quite an extent, owing to some abuse I once received from a bigot) but everyone else in the house is OK with doing so (well, the cat doesn’t really exercise, as such . . . ).

Meditation is also important for me - and I do mean meditation, not the mindfulness stuff. Channelled energy healing is also good, but I find I get a benefit from doing that, as well as receiving it - which is a matter Lynne McTaggart touches on in one of her books. There are other techniques of alternative healing - some of which I’ve mentioned above, but I thought, for instance, the testing of my hair in naturopathy was useful as a long term indication of dietary matters.

It is worth looking at this one hour video for some healthy, balanced scepticism in assessing options before you start this. (Warning: video includes discussion of sexual and other abuse, and the manipulation some people have used, and “high control groups” [referred to by most of us as “cults”]. I disagree that some of these matters are pseudo-science, but most of this is excellent. You can, of course, make up your own mind.)

You have to try these options, assess them intelligently (especially around any matter that could mean it would work / not work at other times / places / situations), and work at finding what works for you.

You are, incidentally, in many - not all - parts of the world, also allowed to change your doctor if you’re not happy with them. I did so a little over a year ago, and now have the best doctor I have ever had (and she bulk bills!).

On healing generally, and conventional medicine in particular, I also recommend reading the book "Compassionomics: The Revolutionary Scientific Evidence that Caring Makes a Difference", by Stephen Trzeciak and Anthony Mazzarelli.

Clearing, which is a major part of what this blog advocates for, is also important. You’ll have noticed how much of a benefit that is or isn’t for you already, with the exercises you’ve been doing over the last half year or so . . .

Now, I’ve written that for you, Dear Reader, but you should also ensure that those who are wounded of spirit or psyche are guided through whatever BPM actions they need as well - beginning with conventional medical needs, and working through the above sort of sequence before they “go into action” as part of their training.

I’m deliberately avoiding advocating for particular traditions in this series of lessons - I’m not trying to establish a new group or path or tradition, and I want these to be accessible to as many people as is possible. That does mean that people should be able to access whatever spiritual guidance they wish as well - as long as it is BPM.

But at the very least, I consider everyone should see a counsellor at least once a year - more often, during lockdown.

Please consider all this carefully - and as intelligently as you can.

This week’s sigil is for Wholeness.

Exercise AH- Winding up a group

Establish and check  protection, and then do your initial self-assessment.

Do your combined basic energy work drill, which is, as a broad summary:

  • Exercise A - self care (Week No. 46);
  • Exercise B - links (self work) (Week No. 47);
    Exercise C - links (partnered - whether physical or nonphysical) (Week No. 48);
  • Exercise D - objects (self work) (Week No. 49);
    Exercise E - objects (partnered - whether physical or nonphysical) (Week No. 50);
  • Exercise F - energies (self work) (Week No. 51);
    Exercise G - energies (partnered - whether physical or nonphysical) (Week No. 52);
  • Exercise H - rescuing cooperatives (self work) (Week No. 53);
    Exercise I - rescuing cooperatives (partnered - whether physical or nonphysical) (Week No. 54);
  • Exercise J - rescuing uncooperatives (partnered - whether physical or nonphysical) (Week No. 55).

In addition to the skills directly practised, the partnered exercises have practised your ability to work constructively with others. Both sets of skills will now be developed (and pay particular attention to the skills in the lessons on proficiency, countering adaptations, and evolution [which included the “this course as a blog” links] ), but with a focus towards working in larger groups, which in turn have a focus on changing the world. These will be based on the Rangers of the Inner Plane, which is no longer physically active (other than me), but is still working on the nonphysical.

There WILL come a time when this set of lessons and any groups founded on it are redundant - hopefully because the world has become a better place, or teaching has progressed (we don’t use the lesson plans from a century or two ago - knowledge [including knowledge of how to teach] has grown since then).

The key at that time, is for people to NOT be so emotionally invested in these lessons that they resist change and try to hold on to the nostalgic “old days”.

That’s not an easy ask.

There is considerable discernment and wisdom involved in recognising that the time has arrived for something to end, a possibly considerable grieving process which will not be made easier by denial, and practical issues such as what happens to recent members / new trainees.

Of course, this point applies to other groups as well. Some have transformed - for instance, the Knights  Templar (which were not actually wiped out) have largely become a charitable body. Transformation may be a possibility.

What I do suggest, is that your group has some preliminary discussions about the following, knowing that it may not be able to formulate a position on these issues:

  • what changes in the world would make continued existence of your group moot?
  • what personal changes (for the better) would make continued participation of members in this group of no net value to anyone? (If things go bad, that is a different matter - one to be constructively resolved, if possible.)
  • what broad changes in your nation / region / culture would result in alternatives to this group that should be supported rather than competing against them by continuing this group?
  • what other aspects could indicate a time to wind this group up?
  • how could this group be wound up amicably? How could members be best helped with any grieving? (Don’t glibly say they won’t or “shouldn’t” grieve: it is a human emotion, and if it is NOT present, I would be VERY concerned.)

And also remember to automatically, quietly, without a fuss, clear ALL nonBPM units that you may become aware of during all discussions - or any group work, really.

Do your final self-assessment and restorative work, re-check yourself (get help if you need it), and then close your chakras, centre yourself and close your aura, use the banishing version of the LBRP to close circle, ground and release all excess energy; and make sure you are grounded and closed down - implement your Psychic Emergency Action Plan if necessary.

The Meditation (see here, here, and here) broadly consists of:

(1) use appropriate and responsible techniques (see here, here, here), prayer and ritual (e.g., here) to establish and check protection (re-do the protection, or re-schedule the meditation, if you don’t feel safe and secure);
(2) establish a personal connection to your Higher BPM influences;
(3) visualise the sigil (see above) for this work. Think of what this work means for you as you do so, then, when you feel you have fully tuned in to the meaning of the sigil, see it as a portal or doorway (you could open it like a door [close it behind you], simply pass through it, visualise yourself shrinking and passing through the centre, or whatever else works best for you), and travel through to to a place created by the visualisation of yourself and others for this work. That place should have:
     (a) a visualisation of the workplace you personally prefer - something you can change, if you wish, as you yourself change;   and
     (b) a shared visualisation of a device to astrally share our knowledge, something developed in a previous project (still active astrally): a visualisation of a large, green, multifaceted emerald. Large: around half the size of the Moon; multifaceted - billions, for all people who wish to be part of this at any time; green - largely tied up with the previous project, but has connotations of nature and growth. One of those facets is yours - choose whatever location and shape you wish (and you may change that as you change [grow] over time), but in the interest of humility and sharing, see it at around human - or human aura - size;
(4) flush one’s aura with green (R0, G102, B0), blue (R0, G0, B204) and purple (R153 G0, B204);
(5) fill one’s Heart
Chakra (and maybe one’s Earth Star, Solar Plexus, Third Eye and Crown Chakras) with green, blue and purple; send a weave of three streams of this colour from the Chakra(s) to the visualised gigantic, multi-faceted emerald through your facet until you see your energy enlivening other areas of the emerald and can feel similar energies flowing back to you;
(6) visualise the rune / bindrune;
(7) generate  feelings of love, peace, joy and respect;
(8) strengthen those feelings (energies);
(9) radiate those energies to the world for nine to eighteen minutes;
(10) then, on Sunday, also perform the additional meditation work for around 15 minutes or so: contemplate the topic, and the spiritual (i.e., nonphysical) implications of it, and seek insights and understanding. Do not be distracted by thoughts of physical actions - those are necessary also, but this exercise is about the nonphysical, in the broadest possible sense, and the focus should be on nonphysical actions, energy flows, symbols, and the like, all with the intention of bringing about a change for the better. As a second stage, if you wish, you can meditate on any physical actions which may be necessary, but get the spiritually focused work done first;
        Also on Sunday, perform the exercise(s) as set out in this post;
(11) when you have finished your work:
        (i) send the thought of any knowledge you wish to store or share through your portal into the group visualised emerald;
        (ii) return back through the sigil;
        (iii) close your chakras, centre and ground yourself and close your aura, use the banishing version of the LBRP to open circle, ground and release all excess energy; and make sure you are grounded and closed down – eat, if you need to, or seek help from someone capable and trusted; and
        (iv) make sure you are yourself again - free of any
lingering attachments or (misguided) ideas of being subservient, respectful of yourself and your integrity as you should be of others.
