Post No. 1,984 - Dowsing The World’s Psychic Weather - Aether: Lesson Twenty-Two - Cure Violence

There is another aspect to energy which I tend to think of as “influence within one level”, although the mechanisms and responses cross over with influences from different Levels of Reality to each other.

When contemplating writing about a topic, I sometimes write a piece of poetry about it - not for any artistic merit, but as a way of exploring different perspectives. When I was contemplating this topic, the first poem that came to mind was:

Up and down,
Side to side,
What makes a thing
work in one direction,
but not t'other?

(I might - at risk to having a readership :) - start including those more.)

In this instance, why something would work “side to side” (on the same level) but “not t’other” (up and down, or from one level to the other) is tied up with the different essence of levels:

  • a physical hammer can apply physical force quite well, but not astral (unless it has an astral component);
  • a crystal exists in the physical, where it might be quite fragile, but also has an energetic component (most commonly, in my experience, the etheric, but some on the astral as well);
  • sentient beings, including humans, exist on multiple levels, and thus what is done to such a being on one level may have an influence on that being’s existence on other levels.

To illustrate that last point further, consider:

  • dealing with a severe physical illness (e.g., cancer) may be so severe as to result in despair, or loss of hope to the being’s astral;
  • an emotional blow - perhaps the loss of a family member to accident or illness - is not a physical force, but it’s impact is powerful, and can affect all forms of health (e.g., through not caring for oneself properly as a result of grieving);
  • psychic attack or healing both act on our etheric or astral, and can lead to outcomes - good or bad - in the physical or spiritual.

I wrote about this in Lesson Twenty One, where I described how energies in one level can influence energies in another.

For the purposes of this lesson, the key part of that is: “energies can influence energies” - and those energies do not have to be physical, they can also be emotional, mental, spiritual, or psychic.

Of particular importance to what I want to cover here are the notions underlying the “Cure  Violence” movement.

To simplify, that came about when an epidemiologist (ah, epidemiologists - the heroines * of the current pandemic) noticed that episodes of violence (e.g., mass rioting) spread much as physical diseases do, and wondered if the well tried and proven techniques of public health management (the current IPOCs who are questioning that in the context of the current pandemic - thereby putting people’s lives at risk - really are clueless fools who are out of touch with what has been known for centuries) could be adapted to managing violence.

He arranged a trial - complete with suitable monitoring, and found that it could.

The Cure Violence organisation trains “interrupters” - people with skills at defusing situations that could become violent - in a wide range of neighbourhoods, and when an incidence of violence occurs, those people work at managing responses to those events.

From this page, the “Cure Violence” model includes:

  • Detecting and interrupting conflicts:

o   prevent retaliations;

o   mediate ongoing conflicts;

o   keep conflicts “cool”;

  • Identifying and treating the highest risk individuals:

o   access highest risk;

o   change behaviours;

o   provide treatment;

  • Changing social norms:

o   respond to every shooting;

o   organise community;

o   spread positive norms.

The page also includes the following:

“The Cure Violence approach has also been adapted many times to new contexts and new types of violence.  Cure Violence has either implemented or is working on adaptations for:

  • domestic violence
  • gender-based violence
  • belief-inspired violence
  • sectarian violence
  • prison violence
  • post-conflict violence
  • election violence
  • school/mass shootings
  • suicide.”

The psychic work I write about on my blog has a similar intention: prevent the spread of “destructive” influences, albeit psychic ones.

I also write about some of the specific techniques and details (e.g., clearing [psychic] links, also known as “cords”, using BPM techniques [and “cutting” links, rather than dissolving them in their entirety with BPM energy, is an act of violence, not healing) to accomplish that.

What that boils down to is this:

when faced with a detection of a major nonBPM concentration of energy, that is not like looking at an earthquake, about which there is nothing one can do to stop or contain it, it is more like an outbreak of disease, about which there ARE techniques one can use to manage it.

So, to recap:

  • energies can have an influence on other energies on the same level, as well as energies on other levels;
  • those influences can be “beneficial” (i.e., BPM) or not (i.e., non BPM);
  • those influences can be managed.

Doing this dowsing work is not an exercise in passively wringing one’s hands and saying “oh, how terrible”. It is about developing and using a skill to act intelligently and with direction towards making the world a better place.

* I’ve noticed that, when people choose to use one version of a word rather than two genders - often for excellent reasons - they generally perpetuate the problem of patriarchy they are trying to overcome by choosing the male version of the word. I’ve chosen to use what is “traditionally” the female version of the word for a person with extraordinary - exemplary - courage to challenge that mindless (or acquiescing in patriarchy for political reasons [“acceptance” - i.e., to make it less unpleasant to patriarchal people - who can be of any gender) practice.
